“Everything happens for a reason,” Jerry Fowler said. Jerry is likely one of the most well known beneficiaries of the Reining Horse Sports Foundation Crisis Fund. The father of seven and grandfather of one will tell you that no one is immune to tragedy and no one expects to be a victim of it. But Jerry was, when his truck backfired at his home in
Montana
, and he was badly burned on 70 percent of his body.
The Reining community quickly came together for their friend with an outpouring of support, not only financially, but emotionally as well. As the old adage says, “blood is thicker than water,” but Jerry might say his Reining family proves that “love is thicker than blood.” As his friends and family rallied their support, so too did the RHSF. The Foundation was able to ease some of the financial burden placed on the Fowler family because of mounting hospital bills. The Reining Horse Sports Foundation has provided over $18,000 for reiners in need.
“Because of the Crisis Fund, we were not left with a huge debt.
We were not saddled with that stress.”
Without continued financial support, your Crisis Fund cannot meet the demands of reiners who are experienced catastrophic events, whether that means personal injuries or cancer diagnosis. Help us grow your Crisis Fund to $250,000 today instead of wishing there was more tomorrow.
